Pentax K200D First Shots

After almost 2 years of service my trusty camera Pentax *ist DL died so I bought a new one. With all the innovation and competition, prices of cameras (like any other electronic gadgets) are supposed to go down with time. But I wonder why this camera cost more than double that of my previous camera.
